PRE-DEVELOPMENT STAGE / ASSOCIATION OF PARTNERS / NETWORK PREPARATIONS 2014-2019
STAGES OF DEVELOPMENT 2020-2030


This vision has been developed based on the previous engagements in various projects, cooperations , events, knowledge exchange and should serve as a foundation for the next directions and action steps our association will take. Thanks to our start-up and supporting small team, this framework describes the way we see how a food education movement could be improved. It will also serve for an information purpose and for the future collaboration with partners who might join our Think Tank Platform. Moreover, the Swiss Food Association will be looking for further cooperation opportunities, contributing to SDG-related projects and transforming and implementing its own ideas into educational projects seeing these three strategic pillars as an effective way to achieve the short-term and long-term goals.


Action Steps Completed During the Pre-Development Project Time Frame between 2014 – 2019:
1. Joined the third sector by creating a dialogue with organizations
2. Delivered a Period of Pilot Projects and Test Activities

3. Developed  a Continuity Development Plan for Cooperation

4. Engaged and got involved in some important implementation, development, promotional and distribution partners

5. Created a Network Launch Project in cooperation with NNEDPro,  a network / innovation hub on development of projects on food education
6. Established of an association in 2018 and developed a strategic approach, objectives and plan.

PARALLEL DEVELOPMENT OF A PLATFORM, COOPERATIONS AND ASSOCIATION:
1. DEVELOPED AND USED A POTENTIAL OF CONTINUITY OF COLLABORATION - SUSTAINABLE GOALS, FILLING GAPS, BUILDING BRIDGES (2014-2015)
2. CREATED A SIMPLE PLATFORM/NETWORK FOR INFORMATION EXCHANGE, DIALOGUE AND CONSULTING AND GAINED MORE COLLABORATORS (2015-2017)
3. SET UP A GOAL TO SCOUT FOR A PUBLIC-PRIVATE STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP, GET SHOWCASED AND DEVELOP A PROPOSAL  (2018-2019)
4. TURNING THE PROJECT / COLLABORATIVE PLATFORM INTO A KNOWLEDGE AND GLOBAL THINK TANK NETWORK ALIGNED WITH SDG AGENDA (2020 - 2025)

5. COMPLETION OF ALL PROJECT PARTS - PLATFORM, KNOWLEDGE NETWORK, EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTE  (2025-2030)



PRE-DEVELOPMENT STAGE (2014-2019)
Cooperation on Projects / Establishment of an Association in 2018
- Explored all aspects of food and nutrition
- Involved in projects on sustainable development especially  on food waste and education
- Seeing chefs as ambassadors for change
- Chefs as teachers, distributors building bridges between professionals and communities
- Worked mainly with a private sector (companies, hotels, restaurants, producers)
- Affiliated with a public/third sector, too (organizations, schools, hospitals, cities, regions)
- Explored the environment of international organizations, their roles and missions
- Developed a 10-Point Plan



KNOWLEDGE PLATFORM FOR COOPERATION ON SUSTAINABLE FOOD PROJECTS 2020
Knowledge Center is planned to be officially launched in 2020. More information about to be published after January 31, 2020
